5 Bricktown Holiday Events You Need to Attend

As Bricktown transitions into the holiday season, the potential for warm festive gatherings and end of year shenanigans explodes in downtown Oklahoma City. At Mickey’s, we love being located in the heart of downtown OKC! That’s why we’re sharing some of our must-sees and absolutely cannot-miss events during the month of December in OKC.

From the first chilly days of December to the spectacular New Year’s celebrations, Oklahoma City has many festivities for anyone looking to celebrate the season.

Tuesday Holiday Movies

Tuesdays, Nov. 29 – Dec. 27 | 7:00 p.m. | Harkins Theater | $5 per ticket

What better way to spend a few days leading up to the holidays than by going to the movies with your family? Harkins will be making this possible every Tuesday in December with classic Christmas films for very reasonable prices. Pick your night and relive the joy of movies like The Polar Express, Elf, Christmas Vacation and more with your family on the big screen.

This event will put you in the Christmas spirit faster than you can say, “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?”

Holiday Pop-Up Shops (Midtown)

Weekends, Nov. 25 – Dec. 22 | 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. | Next door to Bleu Garten | Free

While not in Bricktown, the holiday pop-ups are a sight worth seeing. If you’ve never visited in previous years, every weekend throughout the month of December you can enjoy featured tiny shops from a variety of Oklahoma-owned businesses. Each weekend the shops change to feature a total of 35 great small businesses.

If you’re looking for unique or last-minute gifts for your loved ones, it might be the best holiday event of the season.

Bricktown Snow Tubing

Nov. 26 – Jan. 1 | Bricktown Ballpark | 12 p.m. – 4/8 p.m. (check specific dates) | $14/rider

During the late fall and early winter, snow is not much of a concern in Oklahoma. That preconception changes once you enter the Bricktown Ballpark for their holiday event: snow tubing. Throughout the month of December the ballpark will be a winter wonderland, complete with snow and giant tubing slides set up for thrill-seekers of all ages.

Enjoy hot chocolate and a festive atmosphere in the ballpark this December. Plus, Santa Claus makes an appearance on the weekend dates.

Weekends, Nov. 25 – Dec. 31 | Bricktown Canal | 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Free

Going to celebrate an evening of fun in Bricktown and walk the canal is always a nice getaway. Throughout the whole month of December the entire canal is alight with color and cheer to celebrate the holidays. You can see the light show along the canal, and what better way to enjoy the show than with a free water taxi ride?

In fact, the water taxis dock right outside of Mickey Mantle’s! This holiday event is the perfect way to relax after a filling feast from our private dining rooms.
